Synopsis
Gideon Eckhaus is a surviver of the Shoah and chairman of the Central Committee of Jews from Austria. He has dedicated his life to helping those who have emigrated to Israel.
Since 1994 he has negotiated with the Austrian authorities and demanded the restoration of stolen „Aryanized“ assets as well as compensation for forced labour. His personal concern is the dialogue with Austria, most of all with Austria‘s young people.
This film documents the life‘s work of Gideon Eckhaus and his unwavering fighting spirit.
